An overview of Bershka 2016 collection
Although the 90’s influence is in constant reinvention season after season, now it has come to stay with key pieces such as bombers, sleeveless tailored tops, simple woolen fabrics, basics, off shoulders, culottes and other oversize silhouettes. Poplin, denim and plush are the main textiles present in the collection with stripes and printed messages to top off the trendiest look for this current season.
How many of these have you brought in the last few months? I actually think I have of these outfits! Ekkkk
Now lets move to Fall:
The women’s collection focuses on micro-trends that mark the winter season with red, khaki nudes and dusty tones at the forefront alongside black and white. The collection is inspired in the late 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s
The GRUNGE trend re-appears, inspired by the same musical style that revolutionized the world of music and fashion.
Lettering and logos return as part of the GOTHIC trend where black is the obvious choice of colour. Oversized sweatshirt dresses are styled with high boots and graphic messages feature on all types of garments setting the tone for the collection
The ROMANTIC look is re-invented without leaving dresses, jumpers and fluid garments aside. A sporty touch is now added to sweaters and the iconic bombers in different versions.
The SPORTY trend largely inspires Bershka’s collection. Sports luxe pieces worthy of the gym combined with chic basics such as pinstripe coats create a reinterpreted and current sportswear look typical of urban girls. Tight body con garments are styled with oversized outerwear such as puffer jackets.
Dressy items make a comeback with the TAILORING look where pinstripe suits and shirts are considered essentials throughout the entire campaign as part of the unisex trend. The head to toe pinstripe look becomes a staple for this Winter season.
Past and present coincide in the new Bershka MAN collection. The 90’s are reinvented and serve as inspiration for the upcoming 2016 Winter campaign.
The CASUAL collection follows streetwear standards with contemporary aesthetics. The city becomes the scene for urban looks that combine garments. The 90´s is reinterpreted in the SMART collection mixing garments of obvious sports influence. Retro-style elements and typical 90’s layering are combined with technical fabrics and prints which results in an up-to-date look with a vintage feel.
The boldest of looks appears in the NIGHT collection, with black as the base tone combined with camel pieces. The long-fit silhouette is reinforced in de-structured garments and with new volumes in outfits where layering is an essential characteristic.
The classic 90’s grunge style is reinterpreted in the key must-haves of Bershka’s STREET collection.
Denim jackets and printed shirts that evoke the punk and rock music scenes are combined with skinny ripped jeans.
