Bushman’s Restaurant Review
So at the end of last year We went to Bushman’s Restaurant, on the Palm with my mum and husband and I loved it so thought it deserved a good revive.
So here we go…..
I’m going to start with some snaps I took…
With our wine pre-dinner
The back bar
The Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa
Now we are done with the snaps here is the write up of Bushman’s Restaurant
So now we have the second Aussie hangouts after Bidi Bondi however Bushmans is significantly more posh, less pub, guise.
The bar portion of the venue is set along a narrow passage to the front of the outlet, with views out over the sea and towards the Burj Al Arab. There’s a large and tastefull billabong-inspired terrace boasting an even better vantage point outside.
In keeping with the outlet’s sophisticated setting, you won’t find Aussie Rules flickering on a telly above the bar or mountains of nachos on the bar snacks menu – no bogans here – instead, artfully arranged corks decorate the ceiling and the intriguing snacks on offer include the distinctly Antipodean likes of kangaroo.
Hop connoisseurs and homesick Aussies will be pleased to find a small range of Australian beverages available, particularly when they’re priced at a not unreasonable Dhs35. There are also a number of different grape varieties from the country’s vineyards, plus a selection of signature mixed drinks (which the super-friendly and on-the-ball staff are quick to recommend) and a good range of international short drinks – all very fairly priced.
The restaurant is great for a hearty meal that reflects the rustic outdoors. We all dinned out and relish succulent cuts of prime meat! It was yummy Their was also lots of fresh seafood prepared at the Parilla Grill and charcoal ovens that I was very temped with (though decision) A must – cool novelty is to allow the Salt Guru to recommend the perfect salt variety to complement your meal. We end the meal with an assortment of cheeses from around the world.
Seared Queensland Scallops
Duck & mango salad, native tamarind dressing
Sweet potato fritter, quandong chilli glaze and pak choi
Australian Constructed Pavlova
Prepared at your table with meringue, wattle seed mousse, chocolate soil and sauce, riberries, plum sorbet and lemon myrtle cream
- No worries, it’s Wednesday
- Bushman’s Saturday Lazy Lunch
- Visit between 5pm and 7pm to take advantage of the daily happy hour and pick up two drinks for the price of one.
One other thing that I loved is the grounds of the Anatara – after our meal we where of course stuffed so we showed my mum round the hotel and I have to say I do think this is one of my favs!
Here’s the pool area thou it does not do it justice – its an amazing pool
This is on one of the bridges – you can see the marauding river like pool in the back ground
So over all Bushman’s Restaurant is a funky, cool, fun place to be and I will be back!
