[tps_header]Ziggy Bay – Oman Review[/tps_header]
So when you start reading this post please start form the bottom, as basically when I did the upload they got inserted the wrong way round! If read from the top now its just not going to make much sense. Thank you 🙂
The last picture of one of the most amazing weekends I have ever had and for sure will never be forgotten.
Gareth reading up on all the wild life
We pulled up into a beautiful bay where you can see a few other boats had docked up (if that’s the right term to use)
On the second afternoon we booked a boat trip to go snorkeling
It was so quite a piecefull the whole weekend – we felt like the only people at the resport
Outside every room are bicycle so you could ride round the resort
This was the next day at breakfast – having a great time as you can see….
You see a pot and you get in – right?
Back on our sunbeds enjoying the tranquil view
In addition to the main pool their is also a sea water pool which was more rustic in the look and feel
Morning the next day and I felt the need to take some more pool shots
After dinner their is separate area where you can have a few private drinks
We then head back to our room to get ready for dinner
At this point I want to talk a bit about the room – yes you guessed it – amazing. The area was huge very raw but luxurious. All the amenities like large flat screen, ipod docking, mini bar etc etc.
The coolest part of the room has to be outside – the outside shower (totally private of course) but their is the in dooor option as well.
And then up the mountain for dinner and what a dinner it what just look at the presenation
More rocks to pose on!
A cool chill out bed inside the library
This is the library…
So before dinner we thought we would go exploring and check out the rest of the resort.
This was the main pool area where any one can go – but when you have your own private pool why would you want to. I think this is more for families.
You can also see one of the restaurants has outdoor seating that looks onto the pool
Posing on a rock! as you do
Wrap scarf from New Look used as a sarong (great investment and prefect for an easy wrap up)
After a yummy lunch the next best thing is to crack open the wine and enjoy the rest of the afternoon
All this working hard chilling in the pool and lying on sun lounger means you get pretty hungry – lunch arrives and what a beautiful setting to have
You have seen the pool which is pretty cool – well how about this a few from when you step outside of your villa – yep right onto the beach – heaven
Here is the pool from another angle looking from our room out to sea
All checked in super quick with amazing service and hit the pool which was private and totally unlooked (did not even think that was a word but then it hasn’t come up in spell check! The things you learn blogging!)
I was first off and Gareth took the first few snaps as I set off. I then flew into the resort, gliding over all the private villas and pools. I couldn’t believe how amazing it was.
They dropped me off and went back up to get Gareth – this is him on arrival.
And off I goooooooo
I’m all excited geared up and ready to check out and check in the hotel
So on arrival we head up this small mountain and I had no idea where we where going. We reached the top and the guide got us out of the car and said are you ready to go down their? I must have looked at him extremely puzzled as I had no idea what he meant. Gareth then laughed and explained we are paragliding down their to where the hotel is…. as you do….
If paragliding is not for you don’t worry you can just drive in!
[tps_title]Ziggy bay is with out doubt the most romantic destination I have stayed.[/tps_title]
I was taken their as s surprise (which may have added to the romanticness to it – soz that is not a word!) for a long weekend.
You can imagine my surprise when I was told to wear some trainers – I think we are going on a desert safari and then this happens!!!
We left Dubai after breakfast and arrive in Ziggy Bay in Oman no more than 2 hours later. However once you are their you feel like you have got on a plane and flown to some remote island. Not the case.
By 1pm we had paraglided into the resort (one of the ways you can enter) checked in, got our swim wear on and lying by the pool with lunch ordered.
The afternoon consisted of more relaxing and wine, we then went for a stroll to check out the rest of Ziggy Bay.
In the evening we went to the iconic restaurant at the top of the cliff.
For the next day we did more sun bathing, reading books, swimming, eating, drinking, playing tennis, playing bowls, playing chess, listening to music, spa treatment oh and a boat trip!
Their are so many more amazing things I could write about this place and so more pictures I could have add but please go and experience it for yourself I promise you, you will not be disappoint.
